Choosing a career is a challenging process for many people, and one that is not necessarily over once you pick a major! This page contains links to two different self assessments that can be used to help you identify careers and occupations of interest. You can make an appointment with Career Services to get help completing the surveys, discuss your results, and explore your career options.

Illinois Worknet is a site offering career information and resources. You can use some of the tools on this site to explore your career interests. Register for a free account in order to complete several skills and interests surveys and generate a list of career areas and jobs of potential interest to you. The list is based on the jobs that people with interests similar to yours found most satisfying.
- Click the button below to go to Illinois workNet.
- Log In or Sign Up for an Illinois workNet account using the links at the top of the screen.
- Once logged in, click on My Dashboard.
- From My Dashboard, select the Career Interest Surveys link.
- You now have the option to take any (and all) of the four surveys.
- When finished, click "my scores" to view and save (look for the gold starto save). You can come back any time to review or retake a survey.
